Chris Brown has reportedly been forced to cancel an appearance in South America due to protests in the area over the singer beating his then-girlfriend Rihanna three years ago.
The show was scheduled for December 26 in Guyana but Brown backed out due to being uncomfortable with the protests from women’s rights groups.
Concert promoter Hits & Jams Entertainment confirmed that Brown backed out of the concert on Thursday, The Daily Mail reports.
In 2009, Brown was arrested for assault on the Barbados-born singer on their way to a pre-Grammy party. He was sentenced to five years of probation, community service and domestic violence classes.
Entertainmentwise reports that Brown is about to embark on a European tour. Sources say that the Unapologetic singer will be joining him on the tour, after she just wrapped her 777 tour, which saw her visiting seven countries in seven days.
They haven’t officially confirmed that they have gotten back together but have been pictured together several times.
