Coldplay and Jay-Z set to play in New York on New Year's Eve

Fans can ring in the New Year with the likes of Jay-Z and Coldplay as the rapper and Grammy award winning band are set to perform in New York City on New Year’s Eve.

The exciting news was revealed Monday on Life and Times website. Additionally, Coldplay opened up about the exciting news on their personal website.

“We're pleased to announce that, on Monday, 31 December, Coldplay will round off a memorable year by performing a very special co-headline show with JAY Z at Barclays Center, Brooklyn,” the announcement reads.

“The New Year's Eve show will be preceded by two headline shows for the band, at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT on 29 December and at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn on 30 December. Naturally 7 will be the support act at the December 29 and 30 shows,” the announcement continues.

According to MTV, Nas will take the stage on New Year’s Eve in Manhattan at Radio City Music Hall, which will mark a spot on his Life is Good tour.

Tickets for the event will go on sale November 17.
