Coldplay announced some very sad news during a concert in Brisbane, Australia Wednesday, saying that they are preparing to take a lengthy break from touring.
According to Huffington Post, front man Chris Martin announced the news during Wednesday’s concert saying, "This is the last big show for three years or so. I don't want to stop."
After the show concluded, Martin took to Twitter to thank the Brisbane crowd. “Just finished in Brisbane: thank you to that and all of the other amazing audiences we have had recently. We are very grateful. CM.”
New York based fans can still anticipated to see the “Paradise” singing band on New Year’s Eve as they are scheduled to appear with Jay-Z at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
“We're pleased to announce that, on Monday, 31 December, Coldplay will round off a memorable year by performing a very special co-headline show with JAY Z at Barclays Center, Brooklyn,” the announcement read at the time.
