Tuesday night’s Dancing With The Stars eliminated two more all stars. One was expected, while the other may have come as a surprise.
Kirstie Alley and Maks Chmerkovskiy had another poor performance Monday, drawing just a 78 score from the judges, so their elimination was expected.
CBS News notes that the second cut was a bit surprising. French actor Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd did earn just a 92 for their Quickstep, but Martin had performed well throughout the competition.
“It was a wonderful experience, I got to do it twice,” Marini said after the show.
“Gilles, what I love about him, every week, 100 percent, full-on, flat-out, giving it everything,” judge Len Goodman said.
Alley was not surprised to be cut, saying after the show that to be picked to do the show twice was an “honor,” notes The Washington Post. “I wanted to thank Maks because he’s so patient with me...and thank the judges because your critiques really helped me,” she added.
“And now we carry on!!! One ride comes to an end and the next one takes off..zero to sixty in a heartbeat ..all love to ALL of you!!!” Alley later tweeted.
The remaining stars include Emmitt Smith, Apolo Ohno, Melissa Rycroft, Shawn Johnson and Kelly Monaco.
DWTS airs on ABC on Mondays and Tuesdays.
