Racing beauty, Danica Patrick, has announced that she will divorce Paul Hospenthal, he husband for seven years.
People reports that the 30-year-old racer announced the sad news Tuesday afternoon via Facebook. She writes, “I am sad to inform my fans that after 7 years, Paul and I have decided to amicably end our marriage. This isn't easy for either of us, but mutually it has come to this. He has been an important person and friend in my life and that's how we will remain moving forward."
According to People, Danica and 47-year-old Hospenthal, a physical therapist, were married in Arizona in 2005 after a romantic Thanksgiving Day engagement in 2004.
Danica is known for becoming the first woman to win the Indy Japan 300 in 2008.
In February, she returned to the racing course, trying her hand at NASCAR, but unfortunately crashed her car during the second race.
She was also awarded Nationwide most popular driver as voted by her fans, USA Today reports.
