Daniel Craig took time out of his busy schedule to visit UK troops in Afghanistan over the weekend.
The Skyfall star watched a screening of the film with 100 British troops in Camp Bastian, surprising 800 personnel stationed in the Helmand Province.
Before watching the highest-grossing Bond film to date with some of the troops, he took a ''morale-boosting'' tour of the grounds and watched them train, Contact Music reports. He also toured the Bastion Role 3 Hospital and rode in their armored Foxhound vehicle.
Force Master Driver Warrant Officer Class 1 Rob Ingham said of Craig’s visit, "We get quite a lot of visitors here, but having James Bond was special. He seemed to be pretty comfortable in the driving seat!" Ministry of Defence News reports.
Craig also fired off machine guns that they use and got to see a demonstration of how they use detectors to search for buried training devices.
"It was great morale and the atmosphere in the tent when we were watching the film was buzzing. The film was really good too - and I liked it that he answered our questions,” said Private Shane Awbery.
