Ewan McGregor says he would sign on for seventh 'Star Wars' (Video)

Ewan McGregor is the most recent Star Wars actor to come forward to state their desire to bring back their famous character.

Harrison Ford stated he would be in to reprise his role as Hon Solo in the upcoming Star Wars reprise, as has Carrie Fisher, who starred as Princess Leia.

McGregor tells TMZ that he would absolutely be open to reprising his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the prequels.

When asked if he would be “down” to take on the role of Obi-Wan, the actor replied “Yeah.”

Disney purchased LucasFIlms and announced they would release a seventh edition in the Star Wars franchise.

Thus far, Disney is still seeking a director for the film, but has found a writer in Michael Ardnt. Disney has not confirmed an official cast as of yet.

McGregor has other films in the works up in to 2014 including August: Osage County, Jack and the Giant Slayer, Son of a Gun and Born to be King.
