Angelina Pivarnick, former Jersey Shore cast-mate, is expressing her disappointment in MTV for allegedly shunning her from helping out with MTV’s Restore the Shore, which raises money to help rebuild Seaside Heights after Hurricane Sandy.
Pivarnick, who left the show early both the first and second seasons, told TMZ yesterday before the event "I remain uninvited to participate ... even after attempts to contact the organizers by my management team."
She described it as a "sore reminder of how I have been treated in the past,” and said “This is a time where they should suck it up and stand on one side of the room and let me be there. I am very hurt by this."
Pivarnick, who has since appeared on Vh1’s Couple’s Therapy, said she has volunteered with the Red Cross and local businesses in her area because many loved ones were affected by Hurricane Sandy.
But the cast-mates that were there, like Vinny Guadagnino, were wholeheartedly helping the cause.
Guadagnino told MTV News "It's not about a show, it's not about an amusement park, it's not about a roller coaster, it's not about a bar and drinking and having a good time and a party,” adding, "This town is about families, it's about little kids, teenagers, people, business owners, jobs, that all lost everything. Please help them."
Besides Jersey Shore cast-mates, Teen Wolf, Awkward and Real Housewives of New Jersey stars were there, with special guest appearances from Kim Kardashian, Mac Miller, and One Direction, and performances from Gym Class Heroes and American Idol winner Phillip Phillips.
