With the award season getting into full gear soon, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association held its Golden Globe Nominee Party in West Hollywood Thursday night, drawing plenty of celebrity guests. Francesca Eastwood, the daughter of iconic actor/director Clint Eastwood, was there and was named Miss Golden Globe 2013.
The party was held at Cecconi’s restaurant and drew celebrities like Olivia Munn, Brittany Snow, Jenna Dewan and James Van Der Beek and his wife, Kimberly Brook, reports Celebrity-Gossip.
As Miss Golden Globe 2013, it will be Francesca’s job to escort the winners on and off the stage, a job she told People that she’s nervous about.
“I'm a little worried, maybe, about falling over or doing something like that,” the 19-year-old Mrs. Eastwood & Company star said. "I do not want to wear a ball gown, but I think that really fancy dresses are reserved for the nominees. I'm planning on something simple that won't make me fall over.”
“Francesca comes from a very talented family and we are delighted to have her be our Miss Golden Globe,” HFPA President Dr. Aida Takla-O’Reilly said at the party. “She is a budding actress and is a great addition as we celebrate the show’s 70th anniversary!”
The HFPA traditionally picks the offspring of famous stars to take the Miss or Mister Golden Globe role. Past Miss or Mister Golden Globes include Rumer Willis, Freddie Prinze Jr., Laura Dern, Melanie Griffith and Lorraine Nicholson.
The Golden Globes will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler this year and will air on NBC on Jan. 13. The nominees are announced on Dec. 13.
