Clint Eastwood’s daughter, Francesca Eastwood, has been confirmed as 2013’s Miss Golden Globe by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Francesca, 19, as the choice late last night. Her parents are director/actor Eastwood and actress Frances Fisher.
Miss Golden Globe is a title given to a young woman, usually the daughter of a celebrity, who helps out during the Golden Globe Awards ceremony.
The President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Dr. Aida Takla-O'Reilly, announced the news at a party Wednesday night.
"Francesca comes from a very talented family and we are delighted to have her be our Miss Golden Globe," Takla-O'Reilly stated. "She is a budding actress and is a great addition as we celebrate the show’s 70th anniversary."
Eastwood is excited, but understandably nervous for her role in the awards show People reports.
"I'm a little worried, maybe, about falling over or doing something like that," she said. "I do not want to wear a ball gown, but I think that really fancy dresses are reserved for the nominees. I'm planning on something simple that won't make me fall over."
Eastwood is a part of E! Channel’s Mrs. Eastwood and Company, a reality show focused on her, her stepmother and her half-sister.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are co-hosting the award show, which will air January 13 on NBC.
