American Horror Story fans rejoice, the hit mystery-horror show has been picked up for a third season.
American Horror Story, which is executive produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, has received an order for 13 more episodes of the FX series, Entertainment Weekly reports.
FX president and general manager John Landgraf states, “With American Horror Story: Asylum, Ryan and Brad have raised the bar in every way from Murder House, the first American Horror Story miniseries.”
He adds, “And their original idea—the notion of doing an anthological series of miniseries with a repertory cast—has proven groundbreaking, wildly successful and will prove to be trendsetting. We can’t wait to see what deviously brilliant ideas they come up with for their third miniseries.”
EW notes that series averages 5.2 million viewers, including those who record the show and watch it later.
Evan Peter, Jessica Lange, Lily Rabe and Zachary Quinto star in American Horror Story which concludes its second season on January 23.
