‘General Hospital’ weekly recap – Week of 10/29-11/2

Connie visited Trey at home and acted concerned for him. She hugged him but he pushed her off and wondered what angle she was trying to work. She told him that she thought that they needed to stick together and she told him that the fact that he didn’t commit her gave her a lot of hope. But, Trey called her on her BS and she admitted it. "Aren’t you Kid Columbo?" she asked. He then asked her which one left him for dead and she told him that it was Kate, but Connie defended Kate by saying that she did after being raped and traumatized. Trey wondered why Connie wished he was dead when he found out. She tried to convince him that was Kate talking but he didn’t believe a word she said. He then told her to “lawyer up” because she was going to need it.

Sonny thought about his problems with Kate and Jason while he boxed at the gym. Michael was concerned about him. Neither of them could stop thinking about Jason. Michael informed Sonny that he broke the news about Jason to Monica and that she reacted harshly when he compared Jason to his father. Sonny felt bad for Monica and told Michael that Monica always had a soft spot for AJ. Michael was thinking about the next move for the organization and wanted to hit back right away because he thought that’s what Jason would have done and he wants in. Sonny refused and told him that when he looks at him he sees the life he wished he had – a real life. He then added that Jason wanted a good life for Michael too. Sonny then asked him to check on Monica and to stay safe. They exchanged "I love you’s" and hugged. Later, Trey came by and told Sonny that he would sign the papers to commit Connie.

Monica was greeted by AJ at the Quartermaines. He told her that he couldn’t stay away after she called him to tell him about Jason. He held her and told he was home. She commented how good he looked and they discussed his physical therapy after he "died." Monica flashed back to that day. Steve had been working on AJ for a few minutes, then called the time of death. Alone with the body, Monica had apologized to him for all of his pain in life. Suddenly, AJ started breathing again. She realized that she was the only one who knew he was alive. She asked Steve as a boss and friend to help keep him alive secretly. They then looked at a picture of Michael. AJ couldn’t believe how much he had missed. Monica then urged him to leave but suddenly Michael came by.

Johnny approached Starr at The Haunted Star. She refused to perform because he was playing house with Connie. He apologized and told her that he hated what happened to Starr but that he loves Connie. Starr told him that she thought that they were friends and asked him how he could hurt her and Carly like this? He replied that he wished he could explain everything, but he couldn’t. She then asked him to have Connie committed if he wanted to make things right. He refused, handed her the master of the CD they had made, told her that he didn’t want to hold her back and that he never meant to hurt her. She replied that she was sick of hearing that and walked out. Later, Connie told Johnny they were going to war.

Steve checked in on Heather in her hospital room while outside, Olivia swore she would pay Heather back. Then, she was startled from behind by what appeared to be Heather, but was really Todd. She screamed and smashed glass to grab a fireman’s ax. But, Steve came out and set her straight. Todd had a bag of Heather’s stuff to drop off – a card for a free BLT and an erotic novel. Todd thumbed through it and the paternity results fell out. Olivia was shocked and later, Steve ran an analysis and came back with the results – it was true. Jason is Danny’s biological father NOT Franco. Then, Todd visited a still comatose Heather and told her that there was nothing she could do to stop Sam from finding out the truth. Suddenly, she grabbed his arm.

At home, Starr opened the CD Johnny gave her. She then ripped up a picture of her and Johnny into tiny pieces.

Carly visited Sam at the penthouse. She told her that she wanted to help because Jason was her best friend and she didn’t know what else to do for him other than be there for her and his son. Sam wondered how Jason would feel knowing Carly was defending Todd Manning. Carly told Sam that she could tell that Todd wasn’t lying. “Like you could tell Johnny wasn’t lying?” Sam asked Carly. But, Carly was sure this was different then she started to cry because she just missed Jason. She then gave Sam a voicemail that Jason had left for her. Later, Steve visited Sam and handed her the paternity results.

Michael arrived at the Quartermaines as Monica and AJ ducked out back. Monica returned and Michael apologized for what he said about AJ. She apologized too and told him that she knew that Jason was a big part of his life, but that AJ loved him too. Michael wondered what would have happened if Jason had never found him after AJ kidnapped him. Then, he offered to stick around, but Monica told him that she wanted to be alone. He then asked for a copy of a picture of Jason and AJ together but she gave the framed one to him. Outside, AJ blamed Carly and Sonny for keeping him from his son. He came back in after Michael left and wanted to make Michael understand how much he loved him. Monica offered to do it and told AJ that he couldn’t have anything to do with Michael and that she could be arrested along with him if he was caught but AJ refused and said, “This is my home, my family, and I will do whatever it takes to get back what I lost.”

Trey visited Sonny at the gym and told him that he would sign the papers to commit Connie. Sonny was grateful and told Trey that he knew how hard it was for him to do anything for him. Trey replied that he was doing it for Starr, not Sonny and that he’d sign the papers under one condition. “Did you send Jason to kill my father?” Trey asked Sonny. Sonny swore on his children’s lives he didn’t. He then told Trey that he wanted to but Kate demanded Sonny spare his life. Then, Trey left. Later, Michael came back to the gym and showed Sonny the picture. Sonny told Michael that he had his reasons for hating AJ but the best thing he ever did was have Michael. Michael wondered if things would have been different if hadn’t been killed. Then, Sonny and Michael leave left to eat pizza and talk.

At The Haunted Star, Connie told Johnny they were going to war as Lulu walked in. She wondered which one was in danger of imminent arrest. Connie wondered if Lulu was trying to get on her bad side. Lulu then asked Connie if that was a threat. Johnny quickly diffused the situation and Connie reluctantly gave them a few minutes to talk. Once alone, Lulu asked him how Connie got him to marry her since he recoils whenever Connie looks at him so it isn’t the sex. Lulu then told Johnny that she wanted to help and that he could trust her. She asked again what Connie had on him but then Connie came back and Lulu left. Connie demanded to know what was going on. She then told Johnny that she wanted him to get rid of Trey because if he signed those papers they were screwed.

At home, Starr ripped up a picture of her and Johnny. Kristina came by to check on Trey and Starr offered to order takeout with her if she wanted to wait. Kristina noticed the ripped up picture and they discussed why Johnny would have married Connie. Kristina told Starr that she had known Johnny for a long time and that he isn’t bad, he just makes bad mistakes. Then, they talked about Trey’s belief that Sonny killed Joe Jr. and how hard it was to think his father told him a lie on his deathbed. Then, Trey came home and told Kristina and Starr he was committing Connie.

Steve gave Sam the real paternity test results and told her that there was no doubt that these were accurate. Overwhelmed, she hugged Steve and told him that Jason was going to be so happy! He looked doubtful but she insisted that Jason would come home to her. Steve hoped she was right and left. Alone with Danny, she was ecstatic and couldn’t wait to tell Jason. Suddenly, Jason walked in and they embraced. Ecstatic, she handed him the results and told him that HE was Danny’s father NOT Franco. But, Jason told her that it didn’t matter and he would have loved Danny just as much even if he wasn’t his. Then, they kissed. This was everything Sam ever wanted. Later, Jason disappeared and Sam was alone with the baby. Crying, she searched for him but realized he was never there in the first place.

Todd taunted a comatose Heather in her hospital room that Sam was about to find out the baby’s true paternity and there was nothing she could do to stop it. Suddenly, she grabbed his arm and threatened to send him to prison. Todd was shocked considering she fell eleven stories! She replied that she considered herself “durable goods” and now that she was awake, it changes everything. She told him that she wouldn’t go back to Ferncliff. Then, Steve came in and Heather pretended to think she was Susan Moore. He asked if Heather had an accomplice who helped switch the babies. “Someone like Todd?” he asked her but she replied that she didn’t know what he was talking about. Steve then pulled Todd outside the room and told him that he knew that Todd helped switch the babies and that he wasn’t buying Heather’s “I’m Susan” bit. Later, Heather advised Todd to keep her happy or the cops would be hearing from her very soon.

AJ looked through the photo album in his old bedroom when Monica came in. He commented how the room he shared with Jason hadn’t changed. She told him that she liked to come up there and think about the two of them when they were little. She then added that she regretted the time she missed with them. Suddenly, Tracy started knocking loudly. Monica came out and told Tracy that she was just saying her goodbyes to her son. Tracy was a little surprised then she spotted a picture of AJ. She thought Jason, “who was a hit man, was a saint by comparison.” Monica escorted her out and alone and AJ was livid at Tracy. Monica wondered if he could stay out of trouble and if they could get the charges against him dropped. He assured her he could.

At home, Patrick and Emma brought Maxie a cupcake to celebrate her birthday. She made a wish and blew out the candle. When Emma went to change and Maxie told Patrick that she was moving out because she felt like it was time for her to start a life with someone else and that she wished for a forever with Spinelli. Patrick told her that he wasn’t going to stand in the way of her moving forward. Then, she asks Patrick about Brit, told him that she was happy that he was getting out of the house and that someone out there was worthy of him and Emma. Then, Emma came out in her Belle costume and they ooh and ahhed over her.

Luke visited Todd at his place in a Jason Voorhees hockey mask and a machete. Luke told Todd that he suspected that he was Heather’s accomplice and wanted to get a peek inside Todd’s shoe closet but Todd refused since Luke didn’t have a warrant. Luke replied that he couldn’t prove it yet, but when the “wheel of karma comes around it will roll right over you.” He then left the mask for Todd. Later, Carly came by in a farmer costume and Josslyn as an ear of corn. Carly felt bad for him and encouraged him to put on the mask and come out with them. He turned her down but later Carly came back without Josslyn and told him that she couldn’t stop thinking about how miserable he was and wondered if he wanted to spend the night with her.

At Kelly’s, Duke read about the shootout at the pier in the paper. Anna filled him in on her progress on the case. She was waiting on some results from the fibers she found. He told her that he knows that she always gets her man. Then, he invited her to The Haunted Star for the Halloween bash. Then, Luke arrived and rushed Duke off to his job. Luke asked Anna to go to the party as his date but she didn’t want to hurt Duke’s feelings.

Outside Kelly’s, Duke ran into Patrick and Emma and pretended to mistake Emma for Robin. Patrick went inside and Shawn gave her some treats. Patrick thought Duke seemed like a nice guy. Then, Anna took Emma and Patrick outside for pictures. Tracy came in and commented that Luke looked like he lost his best friend. She encouraged him to put on a costume and go to the party so no one would know he was there.

Michael, dressed as a vampire, scared Starr when she answered the door. He wondered if he could have his treat now and they started making out on the couch. Soon he suggested they move into the bedroom. She seemed a little shocked but changed the subject when she found the picture of Jason and AJ. He explained that AJ was his biological father, caused the accident that gave Jason brain damage, kidnapped him, Morgan and Kristina and convinced his family that Michael was dead. He wanted to take Starr to the party at The Haunted Star since Johnny wouldn’t be there and he thought it might be fun. She agreed then she kisses him and hoped they could finish what they started when they got back.

Monica returned to AJ’s room but he was gone. Then, she spotted the Halloween picture of AJ and Jason when he was dressed as the grim reaper.

Lulu, dressed as a cheetah, was surprised by a burglar Dante at The Haunted Star. Then, they talked about adoption and how she was worried that it would bother Dante if their child is not biologically his but he assured her that it was their love that counted, that they had everything they needed to raise a kid and that he didn’t care where the kid came from. Then, Duke arrived and Dante says goodbye to Lulu before leaving to find the guy responsible for the shootings at the pier. Then, people start arriving for the party, including Anna dressed as a flapper and a mystery guest dressed as the grim reaper.

Patrick brought Emma back home after trick-or-treating and said goodbye to Maxie, who told him that he deserves to be happy. Patrick then asked Emma if it would be okay with her if he went out on a date. Then, he called Sabrina.

Sabrina was at Kelly's when she picked up Patrick's message. She thought he was asking her out to The Haunted Star Halloween party.

Later, Patrick, dressed up as a race car driver and answered the door to Sabrina, who was dressed up as a bunch of grapes. He realized that she thought she was joining him at The Haunted Star Halloween party, when Brit walked in as a sexy nurse. She met Emma, who thought Brit was in a nurse’s costume, but Brit made fun of nurses and told Emma she was a doctor. When Patrick and Brit left for the party, Emma told Sabrina she didn’t like Brit because she put down nurses. Then, Emma told Sabrina about the Nurse's Ball and pointed out Robin's picture in the event photo album. Sabrina wondered why the Nurse's Ball was stopped.

At Kelly's, Maxie thanked Spinelli for her birthday gift and they complimented each other's Halloween costumes, her as the goddess Aphrodite and Spinelli as human anatomy. But, then Ellie walked in in a DNA costume and they left with Felicia and Mac to go to The Haunted Star Halloween party.

Carly showed up at Todd's, where they spent the night watching horror movies. At the end of the movie, Carly opened up to Todd about her history with AJ Quartermaine and his death. “Compared to Sonny, AJ was a monster,” Carly told Todd. Then, she recounted Michael's upbringing first by Jason, then Sonny. He then reviewed her relationships with both with bad and good guys. Later, she told Todd that she thought he was a good guy. Then, Todd kissed her.

AJ, disguised as the Grim Reaper walked around The Haunted Star Halloween party determined to find Michael. Nearby, Tracy confronted Luke about investigating Duke. Luke told her that while he’s in costume, he’ll be hidden and they could discover Duke’s scheme. While Duke tended bar, Luke overheard Anna say that she turned Luke down to go to the party with him. Dressed as vampires, Starr and Michael danced when they were stopped by the Grim Reaper. Michael asked, "Who are you?" but got no answer. Starr laughingly tried to distract him as the Reaper walked away without speaking and then violently bumped into Tracy. He told her he knew who she was. When Tracy says she knew his voice, the Grim Reaper warned her to be “very afraid.”

Patrick introduces Brit to Anna and Anna's face fell. She was upset that he was dating so soon after Robin’s death but later assured him that it was fine and apologized to Brit. Outside, Michael and Starr confessed to each other that they were ready for the next step in their relationship, namely sex, but Michael didn’t have protection. They kissed as a hidden Grim Reaper looked on. Luke continued to eavesdrop as Anna told Felicia that she would choose Luke if he wasn't always trying to spy on her and raised her voice as she caught Luke in costume. In another area of the boat, Patrick and Brit kissed and he turned down her invitation to stay overnight because he said that he needed to be there for Emma in the morning. As Maxie opened her birthday gift from Lulu, they talked about Maxie wanting to break up Ellie and Spinelli. Maxie left to search for Spinelli. Later, Ellie pushed Maxie to talk to Spinelli and told Lulu she wanted Maxie to be happy. Lulu dryly told Ellie to be careful what she wished for. Then, Maxie confronted Spinelli on his non-reaction to her break-up with Matt. He told her that he never thought Matt was the right man for her. Then, she pointedly asks him, "Then, who is the right man for me?" Then, the Grim Reaper interrupted.

Later Maxie rambled to Lulu about making sure Spinelli knew she was available. At a separate table, Ellie and Spinelli told each other that they were perfect for each other, but when she left Spinelli was caught staring at Maxie. Luke and Tracy met over the food table to discuss the night's investigation of Duke. He confessed that Anna found him out and told Tracy that Duke had blinded her. Outside, Starr agreed to meet Michael at the apartment and left. As Michael tried to leave, the Grim Reaper stepped in his way, took off his mask and stunned Michael.

Patrick and Brit say goodnight and kissed outside his door. When he went inside he found Sabrina and Emma asleep on the couch.

Connie and Johnny tried to grab dinner at the Metro Court restaurant but it had been booked for a private event, approved by Carly. Connie demanded to see Carly and the Maître D’ revealed she was in Todd’s suite. Connie replied that she saw Todd with his shirt off so she didn’t blame Carly for getting a little candy. Then, Connie left Johnny at the bar. The Maître D’ then asked Johnny to keep Connie out in the future since the staff was used to Kate and Connie made the staff nervous. Johnny then pulled out cash and told the Maître D’ that he would keep Connie out if he gave him Todd’s room number.

Carly and Todd made out on the couch in his suite. Suddenly, she pulled away and told him that she didn’t want to be his rebound girl. He assured her that wasn’t what was happening between them and that she wasn’t his rebound from Blair. Then, they started to kiss again but soon Johnny pounded on the door. Carly let Todd open the door so Johnny could see them with their shirts off. Carly then told him to go home to his wife. Johnny slammed the door before he left. Todd hoped Johnny stopping by wouldn’t stop them from going to bed. But, Carly told Todd that she didn’t want to mess things up by rushing things. Todd then suggested that they should have sex so Carly could get back at Johnny. She declined but Todd wanted her to at least admit there was something between them. She admitted that there was, but that he was her friend and she couldn’t lose him now that Jason was gone. He then asked Carly if she ever slept with Jason and when he could tell that she had, he was excited because there was still hope for him.

Sonny and Alexis picked their food at Kelly’s. Sonny told Alexis that he thought after Trey signed the papers they would be in the clear. Alexis said that they still have a chance to persuade the judge but Sonny was feeling sorry for himself. He said that he had lost the two people he had cared about the most, his accountant was gone, his business was a mess, and his daughter was almost killed. Then, Connie came in and called them out on their pity party. She told them that she had a great time watching them fall on their faces in court. Sonny warned her not to get too cocky. Connie replied that she wasn’t worried and that she was going to go have sex with her husband. She left and then Sonny flipped the table.

Outside Kelly’s, Johnny joined Connie. She realized he saw Carly and Todd going at it. She tried to convince him to go to bed with her but he said that he would rather kill Todd.

AJ convinced Michael to go to the pier to hear him out. He told him that he didn’t die, that Monica helped him disappear and that he had to come after he heard about Jason. Then, AJ moved in for a hug but Michael pushed him off and Michael told AJ that he was nothing to him since he kidnapped him, faked his death, lied to him about his parents and shot his own father in his back. He then added that he was even going to kill Jason despite Michael screaming for him to stop. Then, Michael said he saw Dr. Thomas kill him and told AJ that he went into shock and couldn’t talk for weeks. AJ replied that there were two sides to every story and then he started to tell Michael horrible things about Sonny and Carly such as the fact that Sonny had forced him to sign over his parental rights and that Carly drugged him and dumped him in an alley but Michael doesn’t believe him. AJ then told Michael that he isn’t a saint, but that Michael has to believe that he’s a different person now and that he wants a chance to show him that he’s a good father. Then, he asked Michael to keep his existence a secret until he figured out to do about the charges against him. Then, Michael left.

Starr nervously waited for Michael at home. Trey came in and she asked what happened at the hearing. He told her how Alexis filed the motion but Connie told the judge she was never his mother, so how could he have her best interests at heart? He then added that a hearing had been scheduled for her and Johnny to tell their side but Starr was distracted because she was worried about Michael. Trey figured out that Michael was on a condom run then realized this was their first time together. He joked that Michael might have chickened out but she was really worried about him. She got ready to go look for him when he showed up. Trey went to bed and left them alone. Michael then told Starr that he saw his father.

Down at the pier, Carly thought about her evening with Todd and talked to Jason and told him that she wanted to trust Todd, but wasn’t sure that she could. Suddenly, AJ stepped out of the shadows.
