HBO’s controversial, Emmy nominated hit series Girls is apparently already set for a third season over two months before the second season is about to air, at least according to co-writer Judd Apatow that is.
According to Vulture, Judd Apatow revealed that Girls’ third season is about to start shooting while he was promoting his new film This is 40.
Apatow also hinted that the series’ creator Lena Dunham helped him a bit with the script for that film.
“We’re looking forward to the launch of Season 2 and hope to have good news shortly thereafter,” said an HBO spokesperson on the subject of a third season, according to The Huffington Post.
Dunham teased back in September at the Emmys that the sophomore season of the show would involve “sex and sharp objects”.
Girls season two is set to premiere January 13, 2013 on HBO. Season One will be available on Blu ray and DVD December 11. A perfectly inappropriate Christmas present.
