On November 12, Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat faced the Houston Rockets. During that game, Wade accidentally stepped on teammate Chris Bosh’s foot. Wade ended up with a bruised left foot at the end of the game, but was fine until two nights later.
After facing the Los Angeles Clippers, Wade reinjured his foot. He missed three games after that and only completed his second consecutive practice Tuesday without much trouble. According to ESPN, Wade said in an interview, "No soreness today after a tough day (Monday), so I feel pretty good. Now, I have to work my way back to get that (rhythm) back. But I'm excited to get back out there and start."
Despite Wade’s injury, the Heat have still won four out of their last six games, three of them without Wade. With the NBA’s teams being as competitive as they are, the Heat could definitely use a healthy Wade pretty soon.
Wade regrets his decision to play against the Clippers. In a recent interview with the Sun-Sentinel, Slam Online reports that Wade said, ‘’I didn’t do myself any justice playing in that (Clippers) game. I could have used the extra rest, and maybe I could have been back by the Phoenix game on the road, or I really could be ready going into the game Wednesday (versus Milwaukee).’’
