Jamie Foxx further fuels rumors he will be cast as the villain in upcoming 'Amazing Spider-Man 2'

Jamie Foxx is rumored to be in discussions to appear in the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man 2 as Electro.

On Thursday, the singer and actor posted on his Twitter account that he dressed up as the villain for Halloween, noting “Costume fits well.”

According to Starpulse.com, his tweet just fueled the rumors that he could appear in Sony’s sequel.

Director Marc Webb talked about the possibility of Foxx playing Electro, telling Comingsoon.net "I think Jamie Foxx is electrifying!”

He also said "I think Jamie Foxx is one of the best actors around today. He's such a great character actor and he's a really brilliant guy. I would love to work with him and you'll be hearing more on that shortly, I'm sure."

So far, we know that The Descendants star Shailene Woodley is in discussions to play Mary Jane Watson. Another role not filled yet is Harry Osborn, Peter Parker’s best friend-turned-enemy, who was played by James Franco in Sam Raimi’s original starring Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker and Kirsten Dunst as MJ.
