Javier Bardem made his mark Thursday in a big way, receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
According to CBS News, the No Country for Old Men actor received his star in front of the El Captain Theatre. Joined by his Skyfall director, Sam Mendes and castmates Naomie Harris and Berenice Marlohe, Bardem, who stars as the villain Silva, received the prestigious award just hours before Friday’s debut of the film.
While receiving the honor, Javier quipped, “Javier Bardem Day. That's so cool. And what's that like? Does everyone have to walk with a broken nose around Hollywood Boulevard?" E! News reports.
Additionally, Mendes noted that Bardem was “so embarrassed” to be receiving such an honor.
Outside of Skyfall, Bardem is gearing up to film Alacran enamorado alongside Alex Gonzalez, Carlos Bardem and Judith Diakhate as well as The Counselor. The Counselor features as all-star cast including Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz, Brad Pitt and Cameron Diaz.
