Jennifer Lawrence adorns cover of Elle magazine, states that in Hollywood she is considered a 'fat actress'

Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence opened up about being a woman in Hollywood in the latest issue of Elle magazine, noting that she is considered a “fat actress” in Hollywood.

E! News reports that the stunning 22-year-old actress opened up about life in Hollywood and her upcoming roles in the December issue of Elle.

Lawrence explains that she wants to remain a positive role model for young girls in the characters she takes on. “I’m never going to starve myself for a part… I don’t want little girls to be like, ‘Oh, I want to look like Katniss, so I’m going to skip dinner. That’s something I was really conscious of during training, when you’re trying to get your body to look exactly right. I was trying to get my body to look fit and strong- not thin and underfed,” she explained.

The blonde beauty goes on to discuss everything from work to love, noting her boyfriend, British actor Nicholas Hoult, is her “best friend” and that on the set is the place where she feels the most confident and “in control.”

Besides her strong character in The Hunger Games, Lawrence recently starred opposite Bradley Cooper in Silver Linings Playbook. Lawrence is also reprising her role as Katniss in the upcoming sequel to The Hunger Games entitled Catching Fire.
