Jeremy Renner is this week’s Saturday Night Live guest star, and The Hurt Locker actor did not disappoint. Along with Renner and the regular hilarious cast, the show guest starred a rather interesting political figure, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
According to E! News, the politician appeared on the hit comedy skit show to help out with the “Weekend Update.” NBC reports that the governor joined to address the recent tragedy brought on by Hurricane Sandy, which the Republican joked about in a light-hearted manner.
After thanking his wife, the Red Cross and first responders, Christie offered a list of people he did not want to thank, including “any of the stupid mayors who did not follow my evacuation orders,” saying, “Because when you ignore me, it makes you look like a real Seth Meyers.” He also did not want to thank “the reporters who put themselves in real danger by walking into the middle of the hurricane with their cameras. We don’t need you to tell us there’s a hurricane, we have windows,” he states.
Hurricane news aside, Renner took to joking about The Avengers, in which he stars as Hawkeye.
“You may know that I play a little piano," Renner said. "I've actually written theme songs for every movie that I've done…but they've never used any of them. Do you guys want to hear a few of them?"
Renner then began singing a joke version theme song to The Avengers. Check out some of Renner's hilarious bits in the clip below:
