Judge rules in favor of Bristol Palin in bar heckler lawsuit

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Bristol Palin is victorious after a bar heckler filed a defamation lawsuit against her while filming her A&E reality series Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp.

As previously reported, Stephen Hanks was caught on tape yelling at Palin, calling her Republican Alaska Governor mother Sarah a “whore” and “evil.”

Bristol fired back calling Hanks “gay” saying she could tell that he was, just by the way he looked.

At the time, Hanks alleged that it was because of the videos airing that damaged both his career and reputation. At the time he was seeking more than $75,000 in damages.

Now, TMZ reports that a judge has tossed out the lawsuit and ordered Hanks to pay for the young Palin’s attorney fees.

TMZ notes that Hanks fired back the lawsuit saying that he never signed a waiver allowing to be filmed, but a judge stated that the show along with its crew was protected by the First Amendment.
