He may be having some problems with his on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez, but there’s one thing Justin Bieber doesn’t have to worry about: he won’t be charged in the misdemeanor battery case involving a paparazzo in May.
Bieber was in Calabasas with Gomez back in May, when he got into a scuffle with a paparazzo who was getting too close to him. In June, the case went to the D.A.’s office in California.
But TMZ now reports that Bieber won’t be charged with battery. There was reportedly conflicting accounts from witnesses over what really took place outside of a mall, and there was a lack of evidence all around.
The Associated Press reports that although he went to the hospital, the paparazzo had no visible injuries to confirm that Bieber had physically harmed him.
The paparazzo claimed that the 18-year-old “Beauty and a Beat” singer had kicked and punched him at the time.
