Actress Katie Holmes may be a fantastic mother to daughter, Suri Cruise, but when it comes to cooking, the 33-year-old admits she’s less than perfect.
Us Weekly reports that Holmes sat down with Vogue for its December issue, alongside her Dead Accounts costar Norbert Leo Butz, where she dished on motherhood, being single and her second Broadway venture.
“Me in the kitchen is a comedy,” Holmes revealed. “But it’s heartbreaking for me going through it –“
“Because you’re such a bad cook?” Butz inquired.
“Yes,” the former Dawson’s Creek star said. “But for others, they probably think it’s really funny, because all the pans are out, and I get frustrated, and suddenly it’s burning…And I went to [Mario Batali’s NYC market] Eataly. I got the stuff. And it still turned out, like – not good!”
All cooking flubs aside, Holmes and Butz are pros on the stage, as their upcoming play marks the actress’ second time on Broadway.
“It’s exciting because there’s no close-up, so a person has to use every inch of themselves,” Katie admitted. “So you’re never done – and who wants to be done? It’s just another opportunity to keep growing.”
