Kelly Clarkson denies engagement rumors on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show,' but says 'We are totally going to get married one day' (Video)

Kelly Clarkson sparked rumors that she was engaged to boyfriend Brandon Blackstock when she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The 30-year-old American Idol winner told DeGeneres that although “everyone thinks we are [engaged]. We're not.”

"We've actually been dating for nine months,” she said, Us Weekly reports.

She continued that she knows she wants to marry him and she’s happy to “wait it out” for a ring. “We are totally going to get married. We love each other," she said. "We are totally going to get married one day. No, he has two children and I'm new … I mean, he's got to put it a ring at some point."

The Daily Mail reports that Blackstock is a Nashville-based talent manager and he’s the stepson of country star Reba McEntire. He’s also the son of Clarkson’s manager.

Clarkson also revealed, “Honestly, I've never been the girl to plan a wedding . . . We will totally, probably elope."
