Kirstie Alley says remaing dancers on 'Dancing with the Stars: All Stars' are 'far superior' to her

By Gina DiFalco,

The newest people to get cut from Dancing with the Stars: All Stars are Kirstie Alley and Gilles Marini.

Alley’s elimination was somewhat expected due to her poor scores, but Marini’s elimination was a bit more shocking due to his consistent scores this season.

Backstage, Alley told Access Hollywood of getting sent home, “let’s face it — there are dancers that are remaining that are far superior.”

She also said, however, that she and her partner Maks Chmerkovskiy “worked so hard and I gave it my best shot.”

Alley, 61, continued “I feel good that I made this far and I know next week they’re doing a Michael Jackson dance, and I knew Michael Jackson, so I think maybe it’s better that I’m not doing an interpretation of a Michael Jackson dance.”

“I just want to thank or fans because that’s what got us this far,” she also said. “We did our best to entertain you, we did the best of the dances too, but one of us was better at the dancing than the other.”

For Marini’s part, he said “It was a wonderful experience, I got to do it twice.”
