After six seasons of waiting, Gossip Girl fans will finally be able to put a face with the voice of the title character. Kristen Bell, who has voiced the character since the show started, is reportedly going to appear as the character in the show’s series finale.
TV Line first reported Friday that Bell is likely to make an appearance in the episode, which is titled “New York, I Love You XOXOX.” It is slated to air on Monday, Dec. 17 on The CW.
The site notes that Warner Bros., which produces the show, and The CW would not confirm. However, there have been rumors that Bell already filmed her cameo.
According to Us Weekly, Gossip Girl’s producers said last month that the character will finally be revealed in the last episode.
On Friday, Bell confirmed that she recorded her final voice-over with a sad tweet. “The saddest day I've had in a while...Last day on #gossipgirl Ill miss you, you snarky bitch!” she wrote.
