Kristen Stewart’s Breaking Dawn character, Bella Swan, becomes a mother in the final film, so while promoting Part 2 last week, the 22-year-old actress was asked, after playing a mother onscreen, if she’d want to be a mom one day in her real life.
Her response? “I can’t wait.”
Tabloids, though, have no reason to go on “Bump Watch” just yet. The actress, who is patching things up with her boyfriend and co-star, Robert Pattinson after a cheating scandal, says she doesn’t want kids right now since she’s still young and not ready.
"Dude, no,” she said, according to Us Weekly. “I can't wait to be a mom, but like, no. I can wait."
Stewart may not want kids of her own right now, but that doesn’t mean she wasn’t excited to play one on screen.
"Some people have really, really strong natural instincts and desires to be a mom,” she said. “That was one of my favorite things about the story. It was one aspect of [Bella] that I was really excited to play."
Robert Pattinson agreed that playing a dad was no big deal because he likes kids.
"I actually quite like working with kids and I like working with animals, which everybody says you shouldn't do," he said, according to The Huffington Post. "Especially working with a baby is great. I would say, put a baby in every scene."
