Despite confusing reports during the summer, Kristen Stewart, who is in the middle of promoting The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, has said in a recent interview that she believes there is a possibility that a Snow White & The Huntsman sequel will happen.
“No one’s positive or anything, but I think there’s a strong possibility,” she told The Hollywood Reporter recently.
The status of Universal’s plans for a sequel were up in the air after Stewart cheated in Robert Pattinson with Snow White director Rupert Sanders.
In August, THR had actually sparked rumors that she was dropped from a planned sequel, but that was followed by other reports that Stewart had never signed on for a sequel in the first place. Then, there were rumors that Universal’s sequel would focus exclusively on the Huntsman, who was played by Thor star Chris Hemsworth.
Finally, Universal weighed in on the reports, issuing a statement that read, “We are extremely proud of Snow White and the Huntsman and we're currently exploring all options to continue the franchise. Any reports that Kristen Stewart has been dropped are false.”
Stewart did not expand on her recent comments. Sanders has already moved on and will direct The Juliet.
Breaking Dawn - Part 2 hits theaters on Nov. 16.
