Lindsay Lohan and Lady Gaga have let their friendship be known, as they often exchange tweets and they’ve been seen together at the Chateau Marmont.
But now the “Born This Way” singer is coming to Lohan’s defense when it comes to her harsh reviews from her Lifetime film Liz and Dick, her first stop on her attempted road at a comeback following years of personal turmoil.
The film, which aired on Lifetime on Sunday night, drew in mediocre ratings for the network, but Lohan was slammed in the media for her portrayal of Elizabeth Taylor.
To that, Gaga tweeted “@lindsaylohan you did a beautiful job on Liz & Dick, Let no one bring u down, Liz didnt, they always try to knock the greats down a few pegs,” MTV reports.

After the girls’ sleepover at the Chateau Marmont this past summer, it was rumored that Gaga cast Lohan in her music video.
A source said at the time, "Lady Gaga and Lindsay caused a stir last month when they had their 'sleepover' at the Chateau [Marmont].”
"Now it turns out that Lindsay will be starring in Gaga's new video from her upcoming album. Due to Gaga's superstar status, this would be Lindsay's biggest [role] by far in many, many years."
