Lindsay Lohan has found a new team to handle her public relations and their first move is to pull her out of a high-profile interview with Barbara Walters for 20/20.
Late last month, her former rep, Steve Honig, decided to quit working for her, following her latest publicized fight with her parents.
On Thursday, Deadline reported that the Liz & Dick star has picked Rogers & Cowan to represent her. That organization has a history of working with celebrities who are trying to reinvent their public image, having previously worked with Robert Downey Jr. and Britney Spears.
Just hours later, Deadline reported that R&C’s first move for Lohan was to cancel an interview with Walters that was scheduled to air on Nov. 16. A source for the site claims that they were not happy with the way ABC wanted to interview Lohan, even though the interview was meant to promote her Lifetime movie Liz & Dick.
That made-for-TV movie, in which she plays Elizabeth Taylor, airs on Nov. 25.
R&C will certainly have its hands full with Lohan. She could be facing another legal battle after it was reported this week that prosecutors might be pressing charges against her for lying to police about her June car accident.
Lohan also recently finished The Canyons.
