The latest Lindsay Lohan nightclub drama continues to take new twists, 24 hours after her arrest. Amid reports that she was drunk, the Liz & Dick actress’ lawyer has said that these are false. Meanwhile, the husband of the alleged victim of Lohan’s rage, Tiffany Eve Mitchell, is speaking out.
On Thursday morning, Lohan was arrested when she left the Avenue club in Manhattan, after she had allegedly punched Mitchell in the face. Lohan had been sitting near Mitchell, a Palm Beach psychic reader visiting New York with her husband, at the club and the actress reportedly told her “Give me my space.” Later, Lohan allegedly punched her in the face.
Lohan was arrested and she will be due back in court on Jan. 11.
However, her lawyer insists to E! News that this was not the case and she was sober. “I can tell you when I was with her this morning; she was in great condition," her attorney, Mark Heller, said. “She was certainly not intoxicated, certainly not under the influence of drugs. She was clear [and] lucid, her eyes were clear. No alcohol involvement whatsoever on this occasion.”
Lohan had attended Justin Bieber’s show before going to the club, E! News notes and, according to a source for the site, she had been trying to hang out with The Wanted’s Max George. The singer actually tweeted, “eventful night!”
“We don't even want to leave the house at this moment,” Stevens said from their New York apartment. “She's all swollen...Her cheek is swollen ... She's pretty aggravated.”
“I don't even know why she pushed her,” he explained. “And we didn't realize who it even was. Five minutes later, she comes around and tells my wife, 'If I need space,' and then she just punched her.”
