Miley Cyrus receives rescued pig from PETA as birthday present

November 23, singer/actress Miley Cyrus celebrated her 20th birthday as an engaged woman and as the new owner for a pig compliments of PETA.

E! News reports that PETA donated a rescued pig named Nora and gifted it to the Hannah Montana actress.

PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman told E!, “PETA knew that sponsoring a rescued pig was the perfect birthday present for a young woman who spends so much time encouraging others to help animals From promoting animal adoption to speaking up for cows who suffer on dairy farms, Miley never stops letting her millions of fans know what they can do to make the world a kinder place."

Cyrus is an avid supporter of animal rights and according to the report, PETA found the 20th birthday of Cyrus as the perfect day to give her the adorable rescued pig.

She has since taken to Twitter to thank her fans for celebrating this special day writing, “Thank you to all my fans who donated to @starkeyhearing @spotrescuedogs for my birthday :) y'all topped it again best bday present by far!”
