Michael Nouri, who has starred in NCIS, Damages and The OC, was arrested Thursday in Beverly Hills on suspicion of battery against his girlfriend, as well as false imprisonment and vandalism.
TMZ reports that the 66-year-old actor’s girlfriend – whose name has yet to be released – told police that her boyfriend had hit her, prompting her to dial 911 at 6:00 p.m.
Police arrived to the scene shortly after, where they were able to confirm that an incident of abuse – following a heated argument – had taken place. Nouri was then arrested right away.
According to L.A. Daily News, Nouri, who has also starred in feature films including Flashdance and The Proposal, was released early Friday morning from custody on $50,000 bail.
According to Beverly Hills police Lt. Lincoln Hoshino, Nouri’s girlfriend suffered visible minor injuries, which included several nasty bruises.
Nouri has no history of criminal activity but a long history of acting credits, including several appearances on soap operas and primetime drama series.
