Some new additions to the Grammy Hall of Fame have been announced, and some veteran singers such as the late Whitney Houston, Billy Joel and Elton John are among those whose songs are inducted into the coveted list.
27 new singles and albums have been added to the the 2013 Grammy Hall of Fame, which include songs like "New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra and Ray Charles' "Hit the Road Jack."
Neil Portnow, president/CEO of the Recording Academy said in a statement, "With the Grammy Hall of Fame celebrating 40 years, it's especially important to note that these entries continue the tradition of inducting a wide variety of recordings that have inspired and influenced both fans and music makers for generations," E! Online reports.
Bob Dylan, Buck Owens, Richard Pryor, Little Richard, AC/DC, Paul McCartney & Wings are just a few of the artists who have material worthy of being accepted.
According to Rolling Stone the 55th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on February 10, 2013.
