One Direction's Liam Payne starting a YouTube channel and takes to Twitter to deny various rumors

By Meaghan Fleming,

Liam Payne from the band One Direction is doing a solo YouTube channel to interact with fans, he announced on Thursday. He also denounced various rumors on his Twitter page today.

Payne announced the news on his Twitter page Thursday saying “coming soon... are you excited? ;)” with a link to the YouTube page.

The YouTube page has over 171,000 subscribers so far, with no videos added yet.

The video channel is for him to interact with his fans and give them something special. He will also be doing “shout outs” in the videos for some lucky fans.

He posted Sunday asking fans to “#LPshoutout if you want a shutout in my 1st YouTube video.” The tweet has over 46,000 retweets.

There are no worries of Payne going solo, according to his latest tweet:

According to Zap2It, there were reports of Payne and singer Leona Lewis dating last week.

There were also reports of Payne insulting Kim Kardashian, but Zap2It notes he never talked about her, only that he hoped One Direction will not be put in the same category as reality stars because of their time on X Factor.
