Miley Cyrus turned 20 on Friday and although she most likely has everything a 20-year-old girl could want, she got a present from PETA.
The organization has announced that they’re sponsoring a pig named Nora in the “Party in the U.S.A” singer’s honor. Nora resides at Kindred Spirits Sanctuary in Florida, which gives shelter to animals who were abused or neglected.
"Miley proved her affection for pigs when she retweeted a PETA action alert to her 10 million followers asking them to urge Walmart to ban its suppliers from cruelly confining pigs to tiny metal-barred gestation crates for months at a time," they wrote on their website.
PETA continued to praise Cyrus, who is engaged to Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth, writing “And the singer's compassion for animals doesn't stop there. She lavishes love on her rescued dogs and consistently encourages people always to adopt and never buy. And she's striving to rid her diet of dairy products,” Us Weekly reports.
