PSY’s “Gangnam Style” has remained popular around the world since the song hit YouTube in July and now it is the most-watched video in the site’s history, beating Justin Bieber’s “Baby.”
“Gangnam Style” now has 805,055,375 views at the moment, with 5,361,235 likes and just 324,027 dislikes.
As Billboard notes, the video already reached the record books by becoming the most-liked video.
The video has surpassed “Baby,” the track that made Bieber a star in 2010. That video is now up to 803,732,561 views. Unlike PSY’s song though, Bieber’s has been less universally loved. “Baby” has just 1.4 million likes and a whopping 3.2 million dislikes.
PSY celebrated the accomplishment on Twitter, writing, “#GangnamStyle just became the most watched video @YouTube!! #History.”
Since “Gangnam Style” hit four months ago, the track has shown staying power, with the South Korean singer performing the song with Madonna in New York and with MC Hammer at the American Music Awards.
