The Rolling Stones will play Brooklyn’s Barclays Center

By Daniel S Levine,

The Rolling Stones’ fans will get to see them at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn after all, the band announced on Monday.

The iconic group posted on its website that they will perform one show, scheduling it between the previously scheduled London and Newark, New Jersey shows. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ron Wood and Charlie Watts will perform at the Barclays Center on Saturday Dec. 8.

Pre-sale tickets will be available Wednesday. General sale will start on Monday at 10am.

Back in August, rumor had it that the Stones would be performing shows at London’s O2 arena and at the Barclays Center before the end of the year to celebrate their 50th anniversary. But in October, the band announced that its shows in the US would be at the Prudential Center in Newark.

The Stones are scheduled to perform in London on Nov. 25 and 29. They will be at the Prudential Center on Dec. 13 and 15.

This week, their newest hits compilation, GRRR!, hits store shelves. It includes two newly recorded tracks, including “Doom and Gloom.” They are their first new recordings in six years.

There have also been several rumors that the band will tour in 2013.

“You know I wouldn't be surprised,” Richards said last month. “Nobody's actually given a heads up on that, but I don't think that this band is gonna wind up all of this for four shows. I think they want to do something for the end of the year, and I think next year probably looks like it's on.”
