It’s Election Day, and many Americans are at the polls. What they may not know is that one of the candidates is...Roseanne Barr.
The actress first announced her candidacy for the White House in August, under the Peace and Freedom Party.
While Barr’s campaign has not generated the buzz that President Barack Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney, Fox News reported that Barr made it known on Tuesday via Twitter that she was still campaigning.
“Good Morning East Coast! Vote for ME Roseanne Barr,” she tweeted, adding a link to which states have her name on the ballot.
One person who will not vote for Barr is her former husband Tom Arnold.
"I'm voting for Obama, but for God's sake let Roseanne have her pot ... she's 60," Arnold told TMZ.
Michael Fishman, who played Barr’s son on the series Roseanne does not plan to vote for his TV mother either.
The Inquisitr reported that Barr’s platform primarily focuses on the legalization of marijuana.
“The legalization of marijuana is the way to end all Drug Wars and stop the monopoly of the subsidized prison systems. Our government and corporations are getting paid every time someone goes to prison for non-violent crimes due to marijuana arrests. Drug laws need to be rewritten to make them sane and people based. We need to end the prohibition on marijuana and legalize it,” read a statement on Barr’s campaign website.
