Russell Crowe has been one of the busiest actors in the business this year, with several films coming out and even more that he is currently working on. Although he just finished Darren Aronofsky’s epic Noah, he is already working on Winter’s Tale, a film that not only requires him to lose the Noah beard, but also to wear a facial scar.
Just Jared reports that the Gladiator actor was seen in Brooklyn on Monday, minus the biblical beard, but wearing a huge scar across his cheek.
In the film, he plays gangster boss Pearly Soames. The film is being directed by A Beautiful Mind writer Akiva Goldsman and also stars Matt Bomer, Will Smith, Jennifer Connelly and Colin Farrell.
According to News.au, the Australian actor tweeted about going to work on the film, writing “starting on another film set tomorrow. I need to go home & be with my children. Cannot believe how fkd up my schedule has become this year.”
He later replied to a follower who agreed that it is tough to be away from your family. “I sympathize,” he wrote. “I haven't seen mine since late September. Maybe 40 days with them for the year. Won't happen again .All the best.”
