'Thor' star compares sequel to 'Game of Thrones'

By Matthew Dougherty ,

The God of Thunder himself, Chris Hemsworth, has spoken and it sure sounds like the sequel to Thor will only improve on the original.

According to IGN, Hemsworth says that Thor: The Dark World director Alan Taylor is giving the series a totally new look and feel.

“There's a definite Game of Thrones vibe thanks to Alan," the actor said.

When asked about returning love interest Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman, Hemsworth alluded to some tensions between them due to Thor not seeing her during the time of The Avengers.

"For Thor and Jane, there are some unanswered questions now, since obviously he didn't stop in and catch up with her in Avengers. Thor might have some explaining to do in this one," he said.

ComingSoon.net says that the sequel has only six weeks to go in shooting.

After wrapping, Hemsworth will begin work on the Steven Spielberg film Robopocalypse.

Thor: The Dark World strikes theaters November 8, 2013.
