As if you needed two more reasons to go see The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, trailers for two of next summer’s biggest superhero movies, The Wolverine and Man of Steel, will show before the Lord of the Rings prequel.
According to IGN, the two previews will be attached to The Hobbit on December 14 when it hits theaters.
Screen Rant says that the two superheroes were supposed to be side-by-side with Kirk and Spock before audiences returned to Middle Earth, but Paramount pulled the trailer for Star Trek: Into Darkness from that date.
For Star Trek and Wolverine, it would be the first trailers they have gotten, unlike the Christopher Nolan-produced Superman film which debuted a short teaser in front of The Dark Knight Rises last July.
Man of Steel and The Wolverine hit theaters June 14, 2013 and July 26, 2013 respectively. Star Trek: Into Darkness comes out May 17, 2013. Next summer also sees the release of Iron Man 3 and Kick-Ass 2.
