When The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 2 first hit theaters Thursday, November 15 at 10pm, analysts were uncertain if the finale in the hit vampire series would demolish box offices as planned. Just one week after the debut, Twilight delivered as expected.
Box Office Mojo and MTV News report that foreign ticket sales have added an additional $200 million, giving it a $362.5 million gross.
The film is expected to gain more momentum over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, with reports hitting as early as Sunday evening.
Skyfall took over second place at the box office, Guardians took over third place with $4.9 million and Lincoln followed with $4.21 million, USA Today reports.
Also in the running this weekend, Red Dawn, which came in fifth at the box office bringing in $4.2 million, and Life of Pi, which earned $3.7 million.
