‘The Voice’ earns more big ratings, NBC and ABC split Monday

By Daniel S Levine,

The Voice continues to earn big ratings for NBC, helping the network earn the best ratings on the night, but ABC managed to snag more viewers overall thanks to Dancing with the Stars.

ABC averaged 13.09 million viewers, but was third in the key demo, earning a 2.2 18-49 rating, notes HitFix. DWTS started off with 13.75 million viewers and climbed to 14.7 million for the second hour. However, the show continues to struggle in the demo, drawing a 2.2. That was a 5 percent jump over last week, though, reports Deadline Castle was also up to 10.74 million viewers and a 2.1 18-49 rating.

It should be noted that Monday Night Football was carried by ABC affiliates in both Pittsburgh and Kansas City.

NBC came in second with 10.07 million viewers and a 3.8 18-49 rating. The Voice’s had around 11.5 million viewers for both hours and a 4.3 18-49 rating. According to Entertainment Weekly, Revolution had 7.1 million viewers and a 2.6 18-49 rating, as the J.J. Abrams show continues to slip in the ratings.

CBS had just 7.86 million viewers and a 2.5 18-49 rating. How I Met your Mother had just under 8 million viewers and a 3.0 18-49 rating, while Partners had 5.5 million and a 1.8 rating. Thanks to Partners’ low numbers, 2 Broke Girls were down to just under 9 million viewers and a 3.2 18-49 rating. Mike & Molly had 9.22 million viewers and a 3.0 18-94 rating. Hawaii Five-0 capped off the night with 7.74 million viewers and a 2.0 18-94 rating.

Fox had just over 5 million viewers and a 1.4 18-49 rating. Bones had 9.96 million viewers and a 1.9 18-49 rating. However, the continued poor performance of The Mob Doctor knocked down the network’s average numbers. The show drew just 3.14 million viewers and a 0.9 18-49 rating.

The CW’s 90210 had season-high numbers, with 1.24 million viewers and a 0.6 18-49 rating. Gossip Girl was up to 808,000 and a 0.4 18-49 rating.
