Hurricane Sandy Relief, Ne-Yo new music, Miracle and more...

In an effort to help the recovery efforts for Hurricane Sandy NBC and the Red Cross held a telethon which raise $23 million for those impacted. This concert included performances by artists like Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, and Christina Aguilera.

Here is a video from Billy Joel’s performance of "Miami 217" in which he changed the first set of lyrics to relate to the recent events.

Taylor Swift remains #1 on the Billboard charts this week for her newest album RED.

However, she isn’t the only artist who is “red”. Ne-Yo released his fifth album also called R.E.D..

It includes his hit single “Let Me Love You”

His song “She Is” featuring Tim McGraw is another stand out track.

Aerosmith returns with their 15th studio album Music from Another Dimension.

Here is the video from their new song “What Could Have Been Love”

Another great song off the album is “Can’t Stop Loving You” featuring Carrie Underwood.

Kylie Minogue who gained fame from her hit “Locomotion” and more recently “Can’t Get You Outta my Head” released her album The Abbey Road Sessions.

Glee released their rendition of Grease with album Glee: The Music presents Glease.

In music collections, Now That’s What I Call Music released its 44th album and Disney released Now Disney: That’s What I Call Music featuring some of their beloved songs.

In other news:

Mariah Carey released a new song “Bring It On Home” supporting President Barack Obama in his re-election.

PSY of the international hit Gangnam style paid a visit to Oxford to discuss his success.

Christina Aguilera released duet “Just a Fool” with Blake Shelton her Voice “Big Brother”.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga rejected Madonna’s offer to do a duet. However she released a duet with Kendrick Lamar.

In other duets, Rihanna confirmed that Unapologetic will include a song with Chris Brown.

And finally, during a difficult time for so many people, Christian rock band Third Day picked a good time to release their new album Miracle.

Here is the video from song “I Need a Miracle” with meaningful lyrics “no matter where you are and no matter what you’ve done there will come a time when you can’t make it on your own and in your hour of desperation know you’re not the only one, praying Lord above, I need a miracle.”
