'World War Z' starring Brad Pitt debuts trailer (Video)

By Matthew Dougherty ,

The long awaited adaptation of the best-selling novel World War Z starring Brad Pitt has finally gotten a trailer, and it is, as expected, full of zombies.

According to The Huffington Post the trailer premiered on Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, after a 30 second tease was released a few days ago.

ComingSoon.net reports that the story follows Gerry Lane, played by Pitt, a United Nations employee who must travel the globe to stop hordes of zombies from taking over the world.

The movie was supposed to come out this December but was pushed to June 2013 after the studio required re-shoots.

Damon Lindelof, who worked on Lost and Prometheus, was supposedly brought in to work on the script, rumored to mostly focus on the ending of the film.

It is directed by Quantum of Solace helmer Marc Forster and also stars Matthew Fox and David Morse.

World War Z is set to hit theaters June 13, 2013.
