19-year-old Capital Steez dead, death prompts questions of suicide

Capital STEEZ, real name Jamal, from the group Joey Bada$$ Pro Era, died at the age of 19, his cause of death is unknown.

MTV reports that Pro Era recently released their newest mixtape, PEEP: The aPROcalypse. The 19-year-old did leave a questionable tweet Sunday evening, which is causing many to think that he took his own life.

The tweet reads, “The end.”

The band’s frontrunner, Joey, has responded to Steez’s death writing, “This unfortunate xmas eve.. Lost a best friend, a brother, a pro, a partner. Letting go is never easy.. May ur soul rest in peace Jamal.."

According to MTV, Steez became noticed after collaborating with Joey on hit, “Survival Tactics.” Steez had his own mixtape, AmeriKKKan Korruption, which was released in April.

MTV notes that the New York Police Department is not yet releasing information regarding his death. His Twitter has been filled with tweets responding to his “the end” post, leaving many with questions.
