In the most recent “GQ Punch List” December 2012 Adam Levine shared some of his thoughts on pop culture in America. On the topic of the pageant-queen reality star Honey Boo Boo Levine did not bite his tongue to express his discontent with the reality television show and Honey Boo Boo’s parents.
GQ asked The Voice judge “what’s scarier waking up not famous or waking up as one of Honey Boo Boo’s parents.
Levine responded with a mini-rant that suggests that the Maroon 5 front man does not save the reality show on his DVR. Levine said, “Seriously, Honey Boo Boo is the DECAY of Western civilization. Just because so many people watch the show doesn't mean it's good. So many people witness atrocities and can't take their eyes away from them, but that doesn't mean they're good.”
He went on to criticize the parents of the seven-year old pageant star with some harsh words.
“It's complete fucking ignorance and the most despicable way to treat your kids. Fuck those people.” Levine assured GQ Magazine “You can put that in the magazine: Fuck those idiots. They're just the worst. Sorry, I'm so sensitive to that—like, I don't know, man, it's upsetting. Just to clarify, I said, "FUCK THOSE PEOPLE."
TheCelebrityCafe.com recently reported on Levine recently rant toward the West Hollywood club Roxy and their failure to provide them with a dressing room.
