FX has set a January premiere for The Americans, a spy drama that stars former Felicity star Keri Russell.
The series will start on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 10 p.m., reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Russell joined the project in March and will star as part of a married couple living in Washington DC who are actually KGB agents. They have two children and have to deal with the escalation of the Cold War during the 1980s and have to keep in contact with a network of fellow spies.
The network put in a 13-episode order in August and cast Matthew Rhys to play Russell’s husband. Noah Emmerich will play an FBI agent who moves in next door to the couple.
The Americans was created by Falling Skies’ Joe Weisberg and Justified’s Graham Yost is one of the executive producers. The show is a co-production from Fox TV Studios and FX Productions.
FX has a big January in the works, with Anger Management returning on Jan. 17 and Justified returning on Jan. 8.
