Ben Affleck isn’t denying possibly running for Senate if John Kerry replaces Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State.
Affleck has been involved in Democratic issues for a while, his most recent engagement being on Wednesday when he testified in Washington over the issues in the Congo right now.
USA Today reports that when sitting down with Bob Schieffer for CBS's Face The Nation on Sunday, Affleck was asked if he would consider it.
“One never knows. I'm not one to get into conjecture," he said, coyly.
“I do have a great fondness and admiration for the political process in this country," he added. "It's a big deal for me to come down here and be on your show that I've watched so much, but I'm not going to get into speculation about my political future."
The Hill reports that the Argo director and producer also said he has “got a lot on my plate," adding “Right now, I’m really happy being involved from the outside in government, advocating for the Congolese.”
