Ben Affleck pulls out of 'Focus'

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Fans only got to bask in the great news of a Kristen Stewart-Ben Affleck film for ten days before reports surfaced stating the Argo actor/director has pulled out of his role in Focus.

Stewart confirmed her role in the romantic comedy nearly two weeks ago. Affleck’s rep revealed Thursday that Affleck would pull out of the project to Entertainment Weekly.

According to Affleck’s rep, scheduling conflicts are to blame for his inability to commit to the project.

Affleck is slated to direct Tell No One in addition to appearing for the numerous award shows Argo has been nominated for.

Variety notes that Affleck “very much” wanted to do the film and his pulling out had nothing to do with any issues, with the exception of time.

Focus is slated to start filming in April; there are no reports of who is set to replace the award winning actor.

The Town actor will also star in the Brian Koppelman written film, Runner, Runner alongside Justin Timberlake and Gemma Arterton set to be released in September 2013.
