Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy are calling it quits after much speculation that their marriage is on the rocks.
"It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating. This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family," Frankel said in a statement released Sunday according to People.
The statement continues, “We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority. This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us."
News of the unfortunate split comes just weeks after a source revealed that the marriage had “strained” noting that their fights have only escalated. At the time the two were noted as often sleeping separately.
The couple has previously shown their tension toward one another on the reality show Bethenny Ever After.
Hoppy and Frankel have a two-year-old daughter, Bryn.
